{"id":45981,"date":"2022-08-05T18:23:51","date_gmt":"2022-08-05T17:23:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=45981"},"modified":"2022-08-05T18:23:51","modified_gmt":"2022-08-05T17:23:51","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-omo-5-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=45981","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool OMO 5"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its Blackpool \u2013 well, Fleetwood \u2013 again for this edition of \u201cPicture in Time\u201d as it\u2019s a hattrick of images of an OMO car.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This time the OMO is one of only two which still exists today \u2013 no. <strong>5<\/strong>. In this photo it is seen as its about to curve round into Pharos Street having just set off from Fleetwood Ferry with a service for Starr Gate. The tram is in the red and white fleet livery complete with Corporation crests and a trolley. On the left is a Ribble Leyland National which is waiting to take up its next duty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OMO 5<\/strong> would remain in service on the tramway until 17<sup>th<\/sup> February 1993 (the second to last to be withdrawn).
