{"id":45902,"date":"2022-07-30T22:00:14","date_gmt":"2022-07-30T21:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=45902"},"modified":"2022-07-29T20:42:18","modified_gmt":"2022-07-29T19:42:18","slug":"in-pictures-31-19-latest-to-start-testing-on-west-midlands-metro-then-19-enters-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=45902","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: 31 &#038; 19 latest to start testing on West Midlands Metro &#8211; then 19 enters service!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The number of trams which have had their repairs completed on the West Midlands Metro continues to increase with a further two examples being seen on test including \u201ccelebrity\u201d <strong>31<\/strong> and <strong>19<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>31<\/strong> was named Cyrille Regis MBE was named in a ceremony at Wednesbury Depot on 18<sup>th<\/sup> January 2019 by members of the late footballer\u2019s family. As well as featuring the name \u201cCyrille Regis MBE 1958-2018\u201d it includes silhouettes of his familiar goal celebration.<\/p>\n<p>The tram had not been seen out of the depot since before the service suspension in March 2022 but has now seemingly had its bodyside panels replaced as part of the ongoing project and is almost ready for a return to passenger service. It was noted on test on 25th July 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This has not been the tram\u2019s first period out of service as it was involved in an accident in August 2019 which saw it receive extensive repairs. It didn\u2019t return to service until 5<sup>th<\/sup> March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Then just a few days later and <strong>19<\/strong> was out on the line, again being tested. Another tram which hadn&#8217;t been seen since pre-closure, its first day seen being tested was 28th July.
