The line started a three month closure on Saturday 16<sup>th<\/sup> July with no trams due to run any further than MediaCityUK for the duration of the works and work has already commenced to replace the almost life expired tracks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;\"><span class=\"css-901oao\">The first stage of works is on Eccles New Road between Langworthy and Weaste and this will be followed by two further stages on South Langworthy Road and then on to Eccles. The blue moulding around the rail houses a polymer block joining two sections of the polymer boot insulation around the rail.
