It has been a couple of months since we last took a look at Tyne and Wear Metro performance \u2013 but that doesn\u2019t matter a great deal as in the first period we take a look at in this article it went up and in the second it stayed exactly in the same place!<\/p>\n

When we last saw the performance (up to the end of March) 84% of trains were classed as on time (that\u2019s 3 minutes later or 30 second later than the scheduled time) but that has now improved in both of the next two periods. In the four weeks from 1st<\/sup> April to 30th<\/sup> April and then from 1st<\/sup> May to 28th<\/sup> May the figure was up to 89%.<\/p>\n In a strange coincidence in 2021 those two periods also had exactly the same percentage, it was just one percent higher at 90%!
