The RAIB have confirmed that they will be releasing a safety digest in the coming weeks after an incident on Manchester Metrolink which saw a passenger\u2019s bag get trapped in the doors of a tram leading to them being dragged along the platform for a short distance.<\/p>\n

The incident happened at around 1116 on 27th<\/sup> May 2022 at Shudehill tramstop. The passenger was dragged along for 13 metres before they fell onto the platform after their bag became trapped in a tram\u2019s doors as it was leaving the stop. The passenger suffered injuries to their face and hand.<\/p>\n The tram driver was unaware of the presence of the passenger as the tram started to leave the stop.<\/p>\n The RAIB have already undertaken a preliminary examination into the incident and have decided that a full investigation is not required.
