{"id":45235,"date":"2022-06-02T18:00:07","date_gmt":"2022-06-02T17:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=45235"},"modified":"2022-05-31T19:56:07","modified_gmt":"2022-05-31T18:56:07","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-brush-car-634","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=45235","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool Brush Car 634"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we celebrate the Queen\u2019s Platinum Jubilee this weekend this additional edition of \u201cPicture in Time\u201d takes us back to a previous Jubilee \u2013 the Silver Jubilee to be precise as we see <strong>Brush Car\u2019s 634<\/strong>&#8216;s special Jubilee livery.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve seen that for the Platinum Jubilee, Blackpool Transport have applied low-key vinyls to <strong>Flexity2 010<\/strong> to commemorate the occasion but back in 1977 for the Silver Jubilee the tram which celebrated the event was a lot more eye-catching! In reality this livery was just a revision of a special livery applied in 1976 for the Blackpool Borough Centenary but did see the roof advert boxes and trolley tower area see amendments to the livery.<\/p>\n<p>Seen at the southbound Talbot Square stop here we see <strong>634<\/strong> with its Silver Jubilee adverts \u2013 complete with large seagulls, we\u2019re not sure whether Her Majesty is a big fan of seagulls or not! \u2013 as it pauses on its way to Starr Gate. <strong>Balloon 722<\/strong> waits to follow it (still with twin destination indicators).
