As with all transport events on the Isle of Man it featured what you would expect \u2013 lots of photo opportunities, parallel runs, intensive timetables and behind the scenes tours. Whilst the Steam Railway did feature in the events the bulk of what happened seemed to be on the Manx Electric Railway as this review shows us.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day One \u2013 Friday 15<sup>th<\/sup> April<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The whole weekend got underway with the perennial favourite \u2013 a parallel run between Derby Castle and Groudle. Originally due to be Winter Saloons <strong>20<\/strong> and <strong>22<\/strong> they were replaced by original motors <strong>1<\/strong> and <strong>2<\/strong> \u2013 not bad replacements really are they?! The pair left Derby Castle at 0900 and then returned south in number order before both entered service for the rest of the day.<\/p>\n<p>A normal four set service ran on the day with <strong>1<\/strong>+<strong>51<\/strong>, <strong>2<\/strong>+<strong>60<\/strong>, <strong>19<\/strong>+<strong>59<\/strong> and <strong>32<\/strong>+<strong>57<\/strong> running as booked. Also on show were Freight <strong>Trailer 26<\/strong> and <strong>Car 34<\/strong>. <strong>Works car 34<\/strong> is stored at the moment awaiting repairs which will take place later in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Another standard four set service ran with <strong>6<\/strong>+<strong>54<\/strong>, <strong>7<\/strong>+<strong>59<\/strong>, <strong>21<\/strong>+<strong>46<\/strong> and <strong>2<\/strong>+<strong>47<\/strong> all in action.
