{"id":44416,"date":"2022-03-30T22:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-30T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=44416"},"modified":"2022-03-30T19:41:15","modified_gmt":"2022-03-30T18:41:15","slug":"in-pictures-sheffield-510-returns-to-service-at-crich-so-does-met-331","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=44416","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Sheffield 510 returns to service at Crich (so does MET 331!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The number of trams commissioned for service at the Crich Tramway Village is continuing to increase with the last few days of March seeing not one but two returnees to the operational fleet \u2013 <strong>Sheffield 510<\/strong> and <strong>Metropolitan Electric Tramways 331<\/strong>. Whilst <strong>331<\/strong> ran last year for the Sheffield Roberts Car it was its first use since October 2019 with it having missed the last two seasons.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>510<\/strong> was the first of the two trams into service with it being allocated to service on Sunday 27<sup>th<\/sup> March where it was running along with Leeds pair <strong>345<\/strong> and <strong>399<\/strong>. Performing immaculately <strong>510<\/strong> was back in service the following day where it was again out with two Leeds cars, although this time it was <strong>180<\/strong> and <strong>345<\/strong>. With a reduced operating fleet needed during 2020 and 2021, <strong>510<\/strong> had not been commissioned for service in either year but the popular double-decker was included on the list for this year and has now been one of the early season cars to run.<\/p>\n<p>Then on Tuesday 29<sup>th<\/sup> March and <strong>Metropolitan Electric Tramways 331<\/strong> became the seventh main passenger car to have run in 2022 when it was chosen to run with <strong>Blackpool 167<\/strong> and <strong>Leeds 345<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The seven trams to have now run are <strong>Blackpool 167<\/strong>, <strong>Leeds 180<\/strong>, <strong>Leeds 345<\/strong>, <strong>Leeds 399<\/strong>, <strong>Sheffield 510<\/strong>, <strong>Blackpool 630<\/strong> and <strong>Liverpool 869<\/strong>.
