The Scottish Rugby Union team played France at Murrayfield Stadium which as well as being their second, and final, home fixture of the 2022 Six Nations Championship was also the first major event in Edinburgh since the introduction of the temporary terminus at West End on the tram line.<\/p>\n

With there being a tram stop located at Murrayfield many spectators attending the rugby usually travel by tram with Haymarket often a very busy stop (even though its just one stop from the stadium) with extra staff on hand to sell tickets and provide advice and information for those heading to the match. Usually all the stops within the city centre are very busy but this time around this was more concentrated on West End. Plenty of staff were present at the stop to marshal things and get people on their way to the rugby.<\/p>\n

Scotland lost the match 36-17.<\/p>\n

There at least a dozen staff members in this photo as they are out to handle the fans and get the trams turned round quickly. Only the far side of the platform is being used.
