{"id":44022,"date":"2022-02-28T22:00:37","date_gmt":"2022-02-28T22:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=44022"},"modified":"2022-02-28T12:54:43","modified_gmt":"2022-02-28T12:54:43","slug":"in-pictures-trams-under-attention-at-carlton-colville","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=44022","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Trams under attention at Carlton Colville"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The hard work to get trams ready for a new season at the East Anglia Transport Museum is well underway with <strong>London Transport 1858<\/strong>, <strong>Blackpool 159<\/strong> and now <strong>Sheffield 513<\/strong> all having received attention over the past couple of months. Whilst getting any tram back into service is enough to get excited about when <strong>513<\/strong>\u2019s work is completed it will be that little bit more exciting as it hasn\u2019t run in passenger service since 2019.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sheffield 513<\/strong> was moved over the pit in the tram shed during the last full week of February so that investigations could take place on a brake fault which had developed last time it ran. After some attention it was possible for the Roberts Car to be tested on Saturday 26<sup>th<\/sup> February \u2013 a big step forward in the tram being fully commissioned for the 2022 season.<\/p>\n<p>Although returning to service towards the end of the 2021 season, <strong>London Transport 1858<\/strong> has also been receiving some further attention over the winter and it has been joined by <strong>Blackpool 159<\/strong> which as well as mechanical attention has had bodywork repairs and a touch up of its paintwork.<\/p>\n<p>With the work on these trams plus <strong>Amsterdam 474<\/strong> having returned to action last year it is hoped that 2022 will see plenty of tram variety at the East Anglia Transport Museum.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_44023\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=44023\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-44023\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-44023\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-44023\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.eatmdepot-tm-550x413.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.eatmdepot-tm-550x413.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.eatmdepot-tm-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.eatmdepot-tm-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.eatmdepot-tm.jpg 1273w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-44023\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">9th February 2022 and the front of the tram depot shows Amsterdam 474, Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11 and Sheffield 513 at rest.
