{"id":43696,"date":"2022-02-08T20:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-08T20:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=43696"},"modified":"2022-02-08T19:37:13","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T19:37:13","slug":"in-pictures-a-different-tram-in-service-on-the-west-midlands-metro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=43696","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: A different tram in service on the West Midlands Metro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since trams returned to service in December on the West Midlands Metro after the month-long suspension it has pretty much been the case that its been the same trams in service most of the time with very different trams seen running which, as we have seen, has led to further tram shortages and service reductions. But there has been a positive development this week with <strong>34<\/strong> noted in service for the first time since around the end of November.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>34<\/strong> was allocated to service on Monday 7<sup>th<\/sup> February which was the first weekday of the revised 12 minute frequency service (as preparations continue to extend the service beyond Bull Street to Library once more). Alongside <strong>34<\/strong> on this day were <strong>19<\/strong>, <strong>20<\/strong>, <strong>21<\/strong>, <strong>22<\/strong>, <strong>23<\/strong>, <strong>29<\/strong> and <strong>39<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Work on preparing additional trams to return to service is also continuing. This includes <strong>37<\/strong> which was seen shunting at the depot on 6<sup>th<\/sup> February \u2013 <strong>37<\/strong> is the tram which had to be returned to CAF for repairs returning to Wednesbury on 15<sup>th<\/sup> June 2021 and hasn\u2019t run since it came back but now it appears on the road to return.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_43697\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=43697\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43697\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43697\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43697\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/1.34-aw-550x330.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-43697\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">34 in service on 7th February \u2013 its first day back after crack repairs.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_43698\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=43698\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43698\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43698\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-43698\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/2.37-aw-550x254.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"254\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-43698\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A snap shot of 37 shunting at the depot.
