Citadis <strong>222<\/strong> was previously designated the Community Hero Tram but hasn\u2019t had a new name since March 2019 so this March will see its first name change for three years.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Community Hero Tram aims to honour unsung local heroes and seeks to recognise those who may have gone above and beyond whilst making a difference in their local community. After a competition being run on the Nottinghamshire Live website the new name for the tram will be announced as part of NET\u2019s 18<sup>th<\/sup> birthday celebrations in March before an official naming ceremony shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>Nottinghamshire Live are asking for potential nominees for the accolade with the nominee having to be someone who currently lives in Nottinghamshire. A maximum of 200 words should be submitted with the name stating how and why the person has made a difference to the local community.<\/p>\n<p>The nominees will then go forward to a judging panel which includes Tim Hesketh (CEO of Tramlink), Nadia Whittome (Nottingham East MP), Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff (researcher Professor of Chemistry at University of Nottingham and recently having a tram named after him), Avarni Bilan (Nottingham Project board member and Wigflex festival founder) and Natalie Fahy (Nottingham Post\/Nottinghamshire Live editor).<\/p>\n<p>It is presumed that <strong>222<\/strong> will retain its place at the Community Hero Tram.
