{"id":43137,"date":"2022-01-03T10:00:46","date_gmt":"2022-01-03T10:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=43137"},"modified":"2021-12-22T18:18:42","modified_gmt":"2021-12-22T18:18:42","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-engineering-car-754","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=43137","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Engineering Car 754"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today we come to an end of this latest series of \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d and the last tram to feature is a Works Car in Blackpool.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first image of Blackpool\u2019s purpose built <strong>Engineering Car 754<\/strong> was taken on 8<sup>th<\/sup> September 2006 and shows the tram just leaving depot to head out onto the Prom with a member of its crew on the top deck waiting for action. The tram is running on electric power as evidenced by one of its trolley poles being up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=43138\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43138\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-43138\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.754-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.754-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.754-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.754-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.754-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Not a huge amount has changed for <strong>754<\/strong> in the past 15 years \u2013 although it now sports a slightly lighter shade of yellow paint \u2013 and it remains based at Rigby Road Depot still being used on a regular basis.
