What will 2022 bring us? The way the last couple of years have been we think its very unwise to predict that one! We start off the year with another edition of \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d and we go all illuminated!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The only illuminated feature car to run regularly in both 2006 and 2021 was the Illuminated <strong>Frigate<\/strong>, <em>HMS Blackpool<\/em>. In this first photo we see the tram just departing from North Pier at a time when this was where all Illumination Tours commenced their journeys from. With its original post-refurbishment light configuration and pre any Royal Navy adverts the tram will head up to Little Bispham, round the loop and then back down to Pleasure Beach before eventually getting back to North Pier and journeys end. This was 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September 2006.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=43130\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-43130\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-43130\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.736-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.736-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.736-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.736-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.736-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We then find the <strong>Frigate<\/strong> on 25<sup>th<\/sup> September 2021 as it comes round Little Bispham loop with another Illumination Tour which now starts from Pleasure Beach heads up here and then returns to Pleasure Beach to terminate.
