Single line-working between North Pier and Cabin has resumed this week as further trackworks take place at North Pier on the points leading into Talbot Square and the Blackpool North Railway Station extension. The work \u2013 and service change \u2013 is due to take place between Tuesday and Thursday this week, although, as has been the case throughout this work, that is subject to late change.<\/p>\n

With the points being worked on trams are unable to use the southbound track between North Pier and Cabin so all trams \u2013 in both directions \u2013 use the northbound track in both directions. As you may have noticed in the comments section of this website the description of the works on the Blackpool Transport website are confused at best as it states that it the southbound track which is open and also fails to mention that Cliffs Hotel is also affected.<\/p>\n

Works are due to take place between 0800 and 1600 each day with trams before and after this time able to run as normal. A special 20 minute frequency timetable is in operation.<\/p>\n
