{"id":42865,"date":"2021-12-13T10:00:35","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T10:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42865"},"modified":"2021-12-12T10:43:05","modified_gmt":"2021-12-12T10:43:05","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-centenary-642-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42865","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Centenary 642"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u201c15 Years Apart\u201d is returning to Blackpool today as we take a look at another tram in 2006 and 2021.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>On 5<sup>th<\/sup> September 2006 we see <strong>Centenary 642<\/strong> running past Fleetwood Hospital on North Albert Street as it nears the end of its journey as a minute or so later it will turn onto Bold Street and terminate before returning to Blackpool. By this time in 2006 the tram was in a plain yellow livery having lost its last all over advert of the traditional tramway era during July (a design for Mecca Bingo). It would keep this yellow livery \u2013 with the addition of Metro Coastlines logos \u2013 all the way through until the end of the traditional tramway.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42866\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42866\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-42866\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.642-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.642-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.642-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.642-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.642-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>2021 and there has been a bit of change for <strong>642<\/strong> as it now carries an advertising livery for the heritage tram tickets \u2013 including the all day Travelcard. This is an adaptation of an advert carried in 1995 and now forms a dual purpose \u2013 showcasing a former livery carried by the tram as well as publicising the different tickets available.
