{"id":42826,"date":"2021-12-11T08:00:09","date_gmt":"2021-12-11T08:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42826"},"modified":"2021-12-10T19:19:21","modified_gmt":"2021-12-10T19:19:21","slug":"15-years-apart-stagecoach-supertram-116","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42826","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Stagecoach Supertram 116"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When we look at trams \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d in this series it isn\u2019t often that a modern tram carries two different advert liveries in the two images but that\u2019s exactly what the subject of today\u2019s edition has.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stagecoach Supertram 116<\/strong> is just another of the 25 strong Siemens-Duewag built trams which were ordered for the opening of the system and started to enter service from 1994 but it has also seen a number of different adverts carried on its body. On 9<sup>th<\/sup> June 2006 at Attercliffe we see the tram in an advert for Meadowhall Shopping Centre \u2013 this was the second design for the shopping complex that 116 had carried and would remain in place until early 2009.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42827\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42827\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-42827\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.116-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.116-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.116-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.116-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.116-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>15 years later \u2013 and four adverts later! \u2013 and we see <strong>116<\/strong> just arriving at Cathedral when working on the Purple route. The advert now carried is for XPO Logistics which has been in place since April 2019.
