{"id":42792,"date":"2021-12-10T12:00:51","date_gmt":"2021-12-10T12:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42792"},"modified":"2021-12-09T19:47:27","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T19:47:27","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-balloon-715-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42792","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Balloon 715"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its time for another edition of \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d and we return to Blackpool today to take a look at another of the ubiquitous Balloon Cars.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Always popular with enthusiasts \u2013 both then and now \u2013 <strong>Blackpool Balloon 715<\/strong>\u2019s look has certainly improved over the past 15 years with, as we see in this photo, 2006 seeing it running in a plain white livery \u2013 or as it was at the time of this image white with a touch of grease and grime! The tram had lost what was its last ever all over advert the previous November and had just been left in this rather boring livery (if its even considered a livery!). The location is North Pier and the date is 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September 2006.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42793\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42793\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-42793\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.715-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.715-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.715-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.715-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.715-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to 25<sup>th<\/sup> September 2021 and <strong>715<\/strong> is looking a lot better as it approaches The Metropole Hotel with a Heritage service running southbound to Pleasure Beach.
