{"id":42747,"date":"2021-12-07T12:00:02","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T12:00:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42747"},"modified":"2021-12-06T16:48:55","modified_gmt":"2021-12-06T16:48:55","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-boat-227-602","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42747","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Boat 227\/602"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In today\u2019s edition of \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d we return to Blackpool as we take a look at a tram which has not only changed livery but also fleet number between 2006 and 2021!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first image again comes from 2006 and shows <strong>Boat 602<\/strong> (as it still was then) in the Handybus inspired Yellow and Black livery. The sun may be setting in this image taken on 8<sup>th<\/sup> September 2006 but its obviously still warm enough for an open top tram ride along Blackpool Prom with the tram seen at Pleasure Beach and about to embark on a journey to North Pier with a smattering of passengers about to enjoy the trip.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42748\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42748\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-42748\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.602-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.602-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.602-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.602-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.602-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>15 years later on 25<sup>th<\/sup> September 2021 and its all change for the tram as it reverted to its pre-1968 number of <strong>227<\/strong> in 2013 when it also received a repaint into this non-authentic Red and Off White livery.
