{"id":42682,"date":"2021-12-03T12:00:17","date_gmt":"2021-12-03T12:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42682"},"modified":"2021-12-02T19:55:03","modified_gmt":"2021-12-02T19:55:03","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-brush-631-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=42682","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Brush 631"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this edition of our \u201cThen and Now\u201d series \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d we return to Blackpool for a look at one of the trams which is now part of the Heritage Fleet.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That tram is <strong>Blackpool Brush Car 631<\/strong> which was one of the Brush Cars which received a major overhaul around the turn of the century with various modern features added, an overhaul which probably helped to secure its future both in the \u201cThen\u201d and \u201cNow\u201d images of this article. Our 2006 photo was taken on 8<sup>th<\/sup> September 2006 as we see <strong>631<\/strong> just leaving the depot on Hopton Road as it enters service on specials. The tram is in the relatively simple but still effective all over advert for The Laughing Donkey Family Bar on South Pier which was in place between 2003 and 2007.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42683\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42683\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-42683\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.631-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.631-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.631-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.631-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/1.631-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a>Heading forward 15 years and several different liveries since and we see <strong>631<\/strong> having just departed Cleveleys when working on Heritage Tours. This particular journey is heading for Pleasure Beach on 26<sup>th<\/sup> September 2021.
