Saturday 30th<\/sup> October was another busy day for Beamish\u2019s trams with a two tram service in operation around the current horseshoe(ish!) line available. As it was the end of October and the weather was end of October like the two trams chosen for service were Sunderland 16<\/strong> and Sheffield 264<\/strong>. In this small article we see those trams in service as well as taking a quick peek inside the depot at those not needed for service on the day.<\/p>\n

As a reminder Beamish is now in its winter season and remains closed every Monday and Tuesday until mid-December. It is now open Wednesday to Sunday every week with pre-booked timeslot tickets needed for entry. Its expected that from now it will mainly be a one tram service each day with lower visitor numbers following the busy half-term period.<\/p>\n

When its been raining at Beamish the tram you would probably hope to see the most is fully enclosed Sunderland 16! And here it is running towards the Entrance from Foulbridge.<\/p><\/div>\n

Another view of 16 as it waits for passengers to board in the Town before it heads on back to Foulbridge the \u201clong way round\u201d.<\/p><\/div>\n

The second tram in service was Sheffield 264 and we see the tram here a Foulbridge with the bus depot in the background.<\/p><\/div>\n

Inside the depot and Newcastle 114 waits at the front of road 2 with Grimsby & Immingham 26 (Gateshead 10) still lifted on wooden blocks as its overhaul continues.<\/p><\/div>\n
