This time its nothing to do with track relaying or issues for West Midlands Metro though, as a set of traffic lights was knocked down at Colmore Circus meaning no trams could run any further into Birmingham than St Chads on Sunday 31<sup>st<\/sup> October.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It had been planned that driver refamiliarisation through Birmingham City Centre would have been getting underway on Sunday 31<sup>st<\/sup> October with a view to resuming services to Library in the coming days but this has now been delayed whilst work to repair the traffic lights takes place. We previously saw the test runs on Thursday 28<sup>th<\/sup> October on the relaid track and while these found very few issues there was a slight problem with the overhead as trams run from Corporation Street into Grand Central but this was soon fixed and a further test on Friday 29<sup>th<\/sup> led to the line being fully cleared for use, thus the planned start of driver training.<\/p>\n<p>Once driver training\/ refamiliarisation gets underway it shouldn\u2019t be too long before services resume along the complete length of the tramway from Wolverhampton St George\u2019s to Library \u2013 as soon as we hear more we\u2019ll report it!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_42176\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42176\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42176\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42176\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-42176\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/1.18-aw-550x413.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"413\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-42176\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">18 stands at St Chads having terminated with a service from Wolverhampton with trams unable to reach Bull Street because of the traffic light issue.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_42177\" style=\"width: 423px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=42177\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-42177\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-42177\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-42177\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/2.lights-aw-413x550.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"413\" height=\"550\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-42177\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">West Midlands Metro tweeted that there was a \u201ctraffic light failure\u201d \u2013 they\u2019re not kidding!
