{"id":41987,"date":"2021-10-22T18:00:15","date_gmt":"2021-10-22T17:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=41987"},"modified":"2021-10-16T15:49:36","modified_gmt":"2021-10-16T14:49:36","slug":"picture-in-time-luas-4009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=41987","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Luas 4009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We move forward a bit in time for this week\u2019s modern tram \u201cPicture in Time\u201d image as we continue our look at the Luas system in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The below photo was taken on 25<sup>th<\/sup> March 2015 and shows Alstom Citadis 401 tram no. <strong>4009<\/strong> at Connolly. <strong>4009<\/strong> was one of those trams which was delivered to Dublin in 2003-4 as a three section tram but was extended to five sections in 2007-8 as part of capacity enhancements on the system.<\/p>\n<p>The picture has been captured at Connolly on the Red line. This is now on a short spur of the Red line with the line having being extended further on what became the main line in 2009.
