{"id":41710,"date":"2021-09-29T22:00:25","date_gmt":"2021-09-29T21:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=41710"},"modified":"2021-09-29T19:41:34","modified_gmt":"2021-09-29T18:41:34","slug":"in-pictures-metrolink-3131-arrives-at-queens-road-depot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=41710","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Metrolink 3131 arrives at Queens Road Depot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday 25<sup>th<\/sup> September saw the delivery of Manchester Metrolink\u2019s latest M5000 with <strong>3131<\/strong> arriving in the city having been transported from Germany via Hull as with all other recent deliveries. <strong>3131<\/strong> is the eleventh of this new batch of trams to be delivered and will now go through the usual commissioning process.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>3131<\/strong>\u2019s arrival on 25<sup>th<\/sup> September comes just two weeks after <strong>3130<\/strong> was delivered and is the quickest two trams have been delivered since <strong>3113<\/strong> and <strong>3114<\/strong> came in April 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Both <strong>3130<\/strong> and <strong>3131<\/strong> will now be commissioned for service over the coming weeks and when they enter service it will should give additional capacity on the network perhaps allowing further doubles to be used in service.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 11 trams delivered of this batch <strong>3121<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>3129<\/strong> have been commissioned for service with <strong>3129<\/strong> the last to enter service on 29<sup>th<\/sup> August 2021.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_41711\" style=\"width: 560px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=41711\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-41711\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-41711\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-41711\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/3131-bw-550x412.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"412\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/3131-bw-550x412.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/3131-bw-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/3131-bw-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/3131-bw.jpg 1267w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-41711\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">3131 arrives in Manchester for the first time.
