{"id":40310,"date":"2021-07-14T22:00:09","date_gmt":"2021-07-14T21:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=40310"},"modified":"2021-07-14T16:25:16","modified_gmt":"2021-07-14T15:25:16","slug":"update-on-bradford-cabmens-shelter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=40310","title":{"rendered":"Update on Bradford Cabmen\u2019s Shelter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last December the latest restoration for the Crich Tramway Village arrived back at the museum but this wasn\u2019t a tram but the historic Bradford Cabmen\u2019s Shelter which had been away in Bristol undergoing a major restoration back to a near original condition. Since it came back little work has been possible because of the ongoing Covid situation but at the start of July this changed with it being moved onto a new proper base at Wakebridge.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This move took place on Friday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> July \u2013 with the museum remaining closed on Friday\u2019s currently \u2013 and a temporary display panel was also installed alongside. This panel includes a QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone to view a virtual tour of the interior of the shelter. This can also be viewed online at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tramway.co.uk\/library-collections\/online-exhibitions\/\">https:\/\/www.tramway.co.uk\/library-collections\/online-exhibitions\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The next stage of the project will see the interior fittings being reinstated to recreate how it would have looked when in use.
