This list should (if I\u2019ve remembered everywhere!) include details of all operating heritage tramways in the British Isles and now includes those which have not yet announced their reopening plans. As always, any errors or omissions please let us know through the usual channels.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Beamish<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tramway due to resume operation from <strong>Saturday 4<sup>th<\/sup> September<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The museum itself remains open but timeslot tickets should be booked in advance. Transport wise a circular bus service is running daily along with the Pockerley Waggonway. The Colliery Railway operates on selected dates.<\/p>\n<p>When the tramway reopens it is planned that a \u201cCircular Tour\u201d type service will run starting and finishing at Fouldbridge (adjacent to the tram depot) with no intermediate journeys available. It is anticipated <strong>Blackpool 31<\/strong> will be primarily used as its seating layout is best suited to maximising social distanced passengers. If circumstances\/resources allow additional services may also be offered.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A set of FAQs on visiting Beamish under the current COVID-19 restrictions are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beamish.org.uk\/faqs-beamish-reopening-covid19-3\/\">http:\/\/www.beamish.org.uk\/faqs-beamish-reopening-covid19-3\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Birkenhead Heritage Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No details have yet been announced of its reopening<\/p>\n<p><strong>Black Country Living Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tram service has yet to resume although the museum is open to visitors with pre-booked tickets.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the latest FAQs on visiting please view their website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bclm.co.uk\/visiting\/essential-info--faqs\/1156.htm\">https:\/\/www.bclm.co.uk\/visiting\/essential-info&#8211;faqs\/1156.htm<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>First Heritage Tours ran on <strong>Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A mixture of tours are now running with full details of these available on the Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours website at <a href=\"https:\/\/blackpoolheritage.com\/\">https:\/\/blackpoolheritage.com\/<\/a>. This include \u201cPromenade Tours\u201d (North Pier\/Tower-Little Bispham-Pleasure Beach-North Pier\/Tower) and \u201cCoastal Tours\u201d (North Pier\/Tower-Fleetwood-Pleasure Beach-North Pier\/Tower) along with themed tours such as \u201cEvening Tours\u201d. Illumination Tours return from Saturday 4<sup>th<\/sup> September.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Details of how they are keeping passengers safe can be viewed at <a href=\"https:\/\/blackpoolheritage.com\/keeping-you-safe\/\">https:\/\/blackpoolheritage.com\/keeping-you-safe\/<\/a>. This includes details of booking requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Crich Tramway Village<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reopened from <strong>Monday 12<sup>th<\/sup> April<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The museum is currently open Saturdays to Thursdays (closed Fridays). Usually 3 trams are in service each day the museum is open but tram rides need to be booked at Admissions and there is no guarantee on busy days more than one ride will be available. This is currently the plan until Thursday 15<sup>th<\/sup> July.<\/p>\n<p>Subject to government guidelines from Saturday 17<sup>th<\/sup> July to Sunday 5<sup>th<\/sup> September Crich will be open daily with the Friday closure resuming again from Monday 6<sup>th<\/sup> September until Sunday 31<sup>st<\/sup> October. Exact measure which will be in place during these periods will be announced later.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Details of Covid-19 measures in place at the museum can be viewed on their website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tramway.co.uk\/plan-your-visit\/tickets\/\">https:\/\/www.tramway.co.uk\/plan-your-visit\/tickets\/<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Douglas Bay Horse Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No details have yet been announced for its reopening<\/p>\n<p><strong>East Anglia Transport Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reopened from <strong>Sunday 18<sup>th<\/sup> April<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now open every Sunday until 24<sup>th<\/sup> October. Also open on all Bank Holiday Mondays throughout this period, Tuesdays from 20<sup>th<\/sup> July to 31<sup>st<\/sup> August, Thursdays from 20<sup>th<\/sup> May to 28<sup>th<\/sup> October and Saturdays from 3<sup>rd<\/sup> July to 28<sup>th<\/sup> August, 25<sup>th<\/sup> September and 30<sup>th<\/sup> October.<\/p>\n<p>Covid restrictions will remain in place until further notice but tram, trolleybus and railway services will operate on all opening days.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>More details of opening details at the East Anglia Transport Museum can be found at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatransportmuseum.co.uk\/times-prices\">https:\/\/www.eatransportmuseum.co.uk\/times-prices<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Great Orme Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reopened on<strong> Monday 21<sup>st<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Services will run 7 days a week at a 20 minute frequency although with special measures in place including limited capacity on board each tram. No pre-booking is required.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>FAQs for visiting the Tramway are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greatormetramway.co.uk\/en\/covid-19-faqs\">http:\/\/www.greatormetramway.co.uk\/en\/covid-19-faqs<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Heaton Park Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reopened from <strong>Saturday 5<sup>th<\/sup> June<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Running between 1200 and 1700 on Saturdays and Sundays until further notice. Currently Blackpool 623 and Stockport 5 are the trams available for passenger service with Hull 96 being used for Tram Driving Experience duties.<\/p>\n<p>Trams start and finish at Lakeside with all passengers having to alight upon returning to allow sanitising of the tram before the next trip. No cash is accepted with contactless payments available on the trams.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Details of the Heaton Park Tramway are available on their website: <a href=\"http:\/\/hptramway.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/hptramway.co.uk\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Manx Electric Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Resumed operation from <strong>Saturday 22<sup>nd<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now running on selected dates until Sunday 18th July (later dates in the season have yet to be annoucned). Services will run every Saturday and Sunday during this period plus Fridays 2nd, 9th, 16th July.<\/p>\n<p>Timetable C will operate on all these dates requiring 4 sets and including 8 end to end trips plus an additional Derby Castle-Laxey return trip late afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The Isle of Man currently remains closed to non-island residents. This is due to change from 28<sup>th<\/sup> June when anyone from the UK, Ireland or the Channel Islands who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (meaning you have had both doses of the vaccination within the common travel area and two weeks have passed since the second dose) will be allowed to enter the Isle of Man. As the whole COVID situation is ever changing you are strongly advised to check before visiting though in case of any amendments to this regulation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seaton Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reopened from <strong>Monday 12<sup>th<\/sup> April<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Open daily until Sunday 31<sup>st<\/sup> October 2021. The Blue timetable (trams every 20 minutes 1000-1700) is running until Friday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> July. The Red timetable (with trams every 15 minutes) will then operate until Saturday 4<sup>th<\/sup> September. It\u2019s then back to the Blue timetable until Tuesday 28<sup>th<\/sup> September with the season ending with the Yellow timetable (every half hour).<\/p>\n<p>The Covid restrictions in place in 2020 will remain for the time being. This includes face coverings, limited capacity on trams etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Covid response of the Seaton Tramway can be viewed on their website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tram.co.uk\/our-covid-19-response\">https:\/\/www.tram.co.uk\/our-covid-19-response<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Snaefell Mountain Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Services resumed from <strong>Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now running on selected dates until Sunday 18th July (later dates in the season to be announced at a later date). Services will run every Saturday and Sunday during this period plus Fridays 2nd, 9th, 16th July.<\/p>\n<p>Timetable C will operate on all these dates with half hourly services from Laxey to the Summit.<\/p>\n<p>The Isle of Man currently remains closed to non-island residents. As the whole COVID situation is ever changing you are strongly advised to check before visiting though in case of any amendments to this regulation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Statfold Barn Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Tramway first ran for this year on Saturday 12<sup>th<\/sup> June<\/p>\n<p>The Statfold Barn Railway now operates on selected dates throughout 2021.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For more details of when they are open and other details please visit their website at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statfold.com\/\">https:\/\/www.statfold.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Summerlee<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Museum reopened on <strong>Monday 26<sup>th<\/sup> April<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The museum is open 7 days a week and admission remains free but pre-booking is required. To book a slot please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/summerlee-museum-of-scottish-industrial-life.arttickets.org.uk\/?t=1618590558605\">https:\/\/summerlee-museum-of-scottish-industrial-life.arttickets.org.uk\/?t=1618590558605<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trams will be running on all days subject to the usual caveats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Volk\u2019s Electric Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Services resumed on <strong>Saturday 29<sup>th<\/sup> May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trains run as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Mondays and Thursdays: 1130 to 1715<\/p>\n<p>Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 1030 to 1715<\/p>\n<p>Saturdays and Sundays: 1030 to 1815<\/p>\n<p>Due to its location the railway does sometimes have to suspend operation in poor weather.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The official website with service information can be viewed at <a href=\"http:\/\/volksrailway.org.uk\/\">http:\/\/volksrailway.org.uk\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>All the above information has been provided in good faith but is subject to last minute change.
