{"id":39840,"date":"2021-06-11T18:00:05","date_gmt":"2021-06-11T17:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39840"},"modified":"2021-06-05T14:48:32","modified_gmt":"2021-06-05T13:48:32","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-brush-625-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39840","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool Brush 625"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In another edition of \u201cPicture in Time\u201d this time we feature a Blackpool tram which since being withdrawn by Blackpool Transport has gone through a number of owners but in 2021 has joined the Fylde Transport Trust Fleet.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>That tram is <strong>Brush Car 62<\/strong>5 which is seen in this image having just rounded the Metropole Hotel on the approach to North Pier with a service to Pleasure Beach on 12<sup>th<\/sup> September 1982. In the standard green and cream fleet livery the tram is completely devoid of advertising with the Blackpool Corporation crests on the bodysides under the fleet number.<\/p>\n<p><strong>625<\/strong> entered service as 288 in July 1937 and would be one of the trams which would be withdrawn at the end of the 2004 season (the great \u201cmothballing\u201d).
