{"id":39812,"date":"2021-06-05T22:00:37","date_gmt":"2021-06-05T21:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39812"},"modified":"2021-06-05T14:06:17","modified_gmt":"2021-06-05T13:06:17","slug":"in-pictures-john-lewis-advert-for-edinburgh-trams-258","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39812","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: John Lewis advert for Edinburgh Trams 258"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six months into the year and we finally have the first new advert on Edinburgh Trams with <strong>258<\/strong> receiving vinyls for the recently refurbished John Lewis store at the St James Quarter \u2013 it may have been a while since we last saw a new ad in Edinburgh but its still in the same style with full height adverts of the third and fifth sections and only above window ads on the rest of the tram.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>258<\/strong> had previously advertised CR Smith (from Turnberry to Blair Drummond) but these were removed at some point between June 2018 and February 2021 while the tram was out of service receiving repairs. This was the tram which was involved in a collision with a bus just outside Edinburgh Airport suffering severe damage which needed almost three years to repair.<\/p>\n<p>Since <strong>258<\/strong> returned earlier this year it has been running without adverts with the cab end which suffered the damage having a revised livery as it didn\u2019t have the extra grey and madder stripes. These remain missing now but it does now have the adverts for John Lewis with the slogan \u201cEdinburgh\u2019s New Shopping Landmark\u201d.
