{"id":39762,"date":"2021-05-31T20:00:44","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T19:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39762"},"modified":"2021-05-31T16:40:47","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T15:40:47","slug":"m5000-3125-enters-service-in-manchester","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39762","title":{"rendered":"M5000 3125 enters service in Manchester"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester Metrolink M5000 <strong>3125<\/strong> has followed quickly behind <strong>3124<\/strong> in entering service with in service by on Friday 28<sup>th<\/sup> May when it as allocated to the East Didsbury to Rochdale Town Centre route as part of a double unit with <strong>3119<\/strong>. This came shortly after <strong>3124<\/strong> had first run in passenger service with both having been seen on mileage accumulation at the end of the previous week.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>3125<\/strong> took just less than six weeks between initial delivery and entry into service having arrived at Queens Road Depot on Saturday 17<sup>th<\/sup> April 2021. As mentioned in the introduction it was noted on mileage accumulation (alongside <strong>3124<\/strong>) on 21<sup>st<\/sup> May as part of its overall commissioning and in running in service has become the 125<sup>th<\/sup> of the class to run in Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>On 28<sup>th<\/sup> May of the new batch of M5000s (<strong>3121<\/strong>&#8211;<strong>3126<\/strong> which have so far been delivered) four were in service with <strong>3121<\/strong> on the Eccles-Ashton line, <strong>3122<\/strong> with <strong>3056<\/strong> on the East Didsbury-Rochdale route, <strong>3123<\/strong> with <strong>3060<\/strong> on the Bury to Piccadilly service and as we\u2019ve seen <strong>3125<\/strong> on the East Didsbury-Rochdale line along with 3119. The other two \u2013 <strong>3124<\/strong> and most recent arrival <strong>3126<\/strong> \u2013 were both seen at Queens Road Depot.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3126<\/strong> was only delivered to Manchester on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> May and will now be going through its own commissioning before it too enters service.
