This time out we are at the site of one of the future tramstops \u2013 McDonald Road. Roy Calderwood with the image.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>McDonald Road will be the second new stop on the line to Newhaven from Edinburgh City Centre (the first being Picardy Place which will be a replacement for York Place). The Airport bound track is that on the left with the Newhaven track on the right hand side of this shot. In the centre background you can make out St James Quarter which will see its first new shops opening on 24th June of this year. On the left hand side the shop with the red and yellow frontage is the popular and long-standing transport model shop, Harburn Hobbies with the converted office block centre right on Haddington Place being Hostelling Scotland\u2019s Edinburgh Central Youth Hostel.
