{"id":39281,"date":"2021-05-01T10:00:33","date_gmt":"2021-05-01T09:00:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39281"},"modified":"2021-04-30T18:30:04","modified_gmt":"2021-04-30T17:30:04","slug":"lockdown-walks-edinburgh-trams-275-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=39281","title":{"rendered":"Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 275"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we continue with our \u201cLockdown Walks\u201d we again visit a very quiet Edinburgh City Centre.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Since this started way back during the first lockdown in 2020 we have seen some uncharacteristically quiet streets in UK towns and cities as the essential tram service has continued. And so it continues in this image taken on Edinburgh\u2019s famous Princes Street in March. Head back 12 months or so and this would have been a very busy scene with pedestrians \u2013 both locals and tourists alike \u2013 jostling for space and plenty of traffic on roads. It is just passing the Debenham\u2019s store which has now permanently closed following the closure of all their stores and just the website surviving. 275 is still the Scottish Rugby tram.
