This is the latest list of when you can enjoy a ride on a heritage tram across the British Isles in 2021. Updated up to and including Monday 26th April this list only includes those tramways which have announced an opening date for 2021 and is correct to the best of our knowledge. Beamish<\/strong><\/p>\n Outside areas at the museum are now open with a limited accessible bus service the only transport operating. A circular bus service is due to resume from 17th<\/sup> May.<\/p>\n The tram service is not planned to start again until Saturday 4th<\/sup> September. This will be a \u201cCircular Tour\u201d type service starting and finishing at Fouldbridge (adjacent to the tram depot) with no intermediate journeys available. It is anticipated Blackpool 31<\/strong> will be primarily used as its seating layout is best suited to maximising social distanced passengers. If circumstances\/resources allow additional services may also be offered.<\/p>\n Blackpool Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n Heritage Tram Tours resume operation from Saturday 29th May. A mixture of “Promenade Tours” (North Pier\/Tower-Little Bispham-Pleasure Beach-North Pier\/Tower) and “Coastal Tours” (North Pier\/Tower-Fleetwood-Pleasure Beach-North Pier\/Tower) will operate on selected dates for the rest of the year. Illumination Tours then run nightly from September until the end of the illuminations in January 2022.<\/p>\n Pre-booking is required for all tours currently and full details of how to do this and which tours will run on which day are available at https:\/\/blackpoolheritage.com\/timetables\/<\/a><\/p>\n Full social distancing measures remain in place with limited capacity on board on trams.<\/p>\n Crich Tramway Village<\/strong><\/p>\n Outside areas are open with limited tram rides also available. The museum is open Saturdays to Thursdays only (closed Fridays). This will be the situation until Sunday 16th<\/sup> May inclusive.<\/p>\n It is then hoped to expand the offering from Monday 17th<\/sup> May until Sunday 20th<\/sup> June with internal areas opened but with the continued Covid measures in place. It will again be open Saturdays to Thursdays only plus Friday 4th<\/sup> June.<\/p>\n Crich will then be open Monday 21st<\/sup> June to Thursday 15th<\/sup> July Saturdays to Thursdays.<\/p>\n Later dates in the season will be confirmed later.<\/p>\n East Anglia Transport Museum<\/strong><\/p>\n Now open every Sunday until 24th<\/sup> October. Also open on all Bank Holiday Mondays throughout this period, Tuesdays from 20th<\/sup> July to 31st<\/sup> August, Thursdays from 20th<\/sup> May to 28th<\/sup> October and Saturdays from 3rd<\/sup> July to 28th<\/sup> August, 25th<\/sup> September and 30th<\/sup> October.<\/p>\n Covid restrictions will remain in place until further notice but tram, trolleybus and railway services will operate on all opening days.<\/p>\n Heaton Park Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n Planned to resume passenger services from Saturday 5th<\/sup> June to allow maintenance works to take place.<\/p>\n Manx Electric Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n Starts operation from Saturday 22nd May on selected dates until Sunday 18th July (later dates in the season to be announced at a later date). Services will run every Saturday and Sunday during this period plus Monday 31st May, Thursdays 3rd, 10th June, Fridays 4th, 11th June, 2nd, 9th, 16th July.<\/p>\n Timetable C will operate on all these dates required 4 sets and including 8 end to end trips plus an additional Derby Castle-Laxey return trip late afternoon.<\/p>\n The Isle of Man currently remains closed to non island residents.<\/p>\n Seaton Tramway<\/strong><\/p>\n Open daily until the end of the season. Currently operating the Orange timetable with services every 30 minutes between 1000 and 1700.<\/p>\n The Covid restrictions in place in 2020 will remain for at least the start of the season including the compulsory wearing of face coverings (unless exempt) and social distancing measures.<\/p>\n Snaefell Mountain Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n Services resume from Saturday 29th May on selected dates until Sunday 18th July (later dates in the season to be announced at a later date). Services will run every Saturday and Sunday during this period plus Monday 31st May, Thursdays 3rd, 10th June, Fridays 4th, 11th June, 2nd, 9th, 16th July.<\/p>\n Timetable C will operate on all these dates with half hourly services from Laxey to the Summit.<\/p>\n The Isle of Man currently remains closed to non island residents.<\/p>\n Summerlee<\/strong><\/p>\n The museum reopened on Monday 26th April. Admission remains free but pre-booking is required for a slot to visit the museum. These can be booked at https:\/\/summerlee-museum-of-scottish-industrial-life.arttickets.org.uk\/?t=1618590558605<\/a>.<\/p>\n Trams will be running on all days subject to the usual caveats.<\/p>\n Volk\u2019s Electric Railway<\/strong><\/p>\n Services will recommence from Saturday 29th<\/sup> May<\/p>\n Only tramways which have announced a return to action have been listed above.
