{"id":38749,"date":"2021-03-20T14:00:19","date_gmt":"2021-03-20T14:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=38749"},"modified":"2021-03-19T16:47:37","modified_gmt":"2021-03-19T16:47:37","slug":"around-the-world-in-trams-den-haag-1180","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=38749","title":{"rendered":"Around the World in Trams: Den Haag 1180"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we bring an end to our visit to Den Haag we go all retro as we view the Tourist Tram in action.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Den Haag usually has a Tourist Tram service running on a circular route between Den Haag and Scheveningen with 16 stops available for this hop-on hop-off service. It runs every 30 minutes at weekends from April to October and daily during July and August. A 24 hour ticket can be purchased for 15 euros and also allows travel on HTM services in this period. The route is run by one of four PCC cars and is run by volunteers from the Haags Openbaar Vervoer Museum (HOVM \u2013 The Hague Public Transport Museum).<\/p>\n<p>On 5<sup>th<\/sup> July 2017 the service was being run by PCC car <strong>1180<\/strong>, which is seen here at the Kurhaus stop in Scheveningen. This was one of a series of 100 cars (1101-1200) delivered to HTM by La Brugeoise in 1957-8. This particular example was withdrawn in 1993 after use as a works car and a period in Amsterdam, returned to Den Haag on 27<sup>th<\/sup> November 2004.
