We\u2019re going inside for this latest edition of \u201cTrams &\u201d as we feature Manchester 173 before it was moved to the Heaton Park Tramway.<\/p>\n

Manchester 173<\/strong> \u2013 an open top double deck tram which is due to be the next major project in the workshops at Heaton Park once Blackpool 619 is completed \u2013 was on display at the Greater Manchester Museum of Transport at Boyle Street until December 2013 when it made the move to Heaton Park. Whilst at Boyle Street 173<\/strong> was surrounded by lots and lots of buses of which we can see five here (as well as a couple more half buses cut off by the framing of the shot). The date of this image was 20th<\/sup> November 2010.<\/p>\n Immediately alongside 173<\/strong> is Leyland Titan PD3\/14 5871 new to Greater Manchester Transport in 1968. On the far side amongst the buses on display are (from the left hand side) Oldham Corporation 394 (a Leyland Titan PD2\/20 dating from 1957), Manchester Corporation 4632 (a 1963 Daimler CVG6K). North Western 432 (Bristol K5G from 1939) and Stockport Corporation 308 (built in 1951 and a Leyland Titan PD2\/1). Plenty to see for a general transport enthusiast!<\/p>\n
