{"id":36889,"date":"2020-12-19T09:00:09","date_gmt":"2020-12-19T09:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36889"},"modified":"2020-12-18T17:43:25","modified_gmt":"2020-12-18T17:43:25","slug":"trams-gateshead-5-sheffield-189-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36889","title":{"rendered":"Trams &#038;: Gateshead 5, Sheffield 189 &#038; bus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this \u201cTrams &amp;\u201d we are again on the way to Crich for an image taken showing a tram alongside something which isn\u2019t a tram!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In fact this time round we have two trams and a bus for you: <strong>Gateshead 5<\/strong> and <strong>Sheffield 189<\/strong> representing the trams and Barnsley &amp; District 5 being the bus. Two of these vehicles have featured in this series side-by-side before (the two number 5s) but this time they are joined by an additional tram on the depot fan at Crich during the Crich 60 event which was held over two days in September 2019.<\/p>\n<p>This image was taken on the second \u2013 and wetter! \u2013 day on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> September 2019 and closest to the camera we have <strong>Gateshead 5<\/strong> with the Barnsley &amp; District bus alongside. These two vehicles were both originally owned by BET with the bus an early replacement for trams and have often been posed together to show the evolution of public transport.
