{"id":36878,"date":"2020-12-22T22:00:42","date_gmt":"2020-12-22T22:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36878"},"modified":"2020-12-22T16:39:04","modified_gmt":"2020-12-22T16:39:04","slug":"net-donate-advertising-space-to-local-homeless-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36878","title":{"rendered":"NET donate advertising space to local homeless charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Nottingham Express Transit 211<\/strong> is now running with above window adverts for Emmanuel House Support Centre \u2013 a Nottingham homeless charity \u2013 after NET donated advertising space to the charity who have suffered a \u00a370,000 shortfall in their annual income.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As well as NET, Nottingham City Transport and Adverta (NET\u2019s print supplier) have donated \u00a325,000 worth of advertising space which not only includes the ads on 211 but also posters at 15 tram stops.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign uses the slogan \u201cYou Can Make the Difference\u201d and highlights the charity\u2019s\u00a0 winter fundraising appeal. It has been designed by local graphic designed Elroy the Artist.<\/p>\n<p>Chris Williams, who oversees social responsibility for NET, said: \u201cDuring these difficult times due to Covid-19, it\u2019s more important than ever to support the most vulnerable in the community, and we\u2019re committed to doing all we can to help. The tram network serves many key locations around the city, and we\u2019re sure the colourful posters and eye-catching tram will provide a real boost for the charity\u2019s winter appeal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Denis Tully, CEO of Emmanuel House Support Centre, said: \u201che advertising will help us to raise awareness about the work we do to support those who are homeless, rough sleeping, in crisis or at risk of homelessness. We can\u2019t wait to see the artwork all around the city and hope that the positive message will resonate with the people of Nottingham. Our winter appeal is our most important fundraising event \u2013 we need it to sustain the running of the charity all year round. As a result of the pandemic, Emmanuel House could be at risk of a \u00a370,000 shortfall in our core income this year.
