{"id":36863,"date":"2020-12-17T14:00:52","date_gmt":"2020-12-17T14:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36863"},"modified":"2020-12-14T16:52:48","modified_gmt":"2020-12-14T16:52:48","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-boat-227","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36863","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Boat 227"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The feature of our then and now series \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d is a tram which has been renumbered in the intervening period \u2013 its <strong>Blackpool Boat 227<\/strong> (or <strong>602<\/strong> as was).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As always we start off in 2005 and see <strong>Boat 602<\/strong> approaching Cabin on 3<sup>rd<\/sup> September 2005 when operating on specials. A service which must have started back from Bispham as there are already passengers on board and we can tell from the destination blind that it will be running south to Pleasure Beach. The tram was in this Handybus inspired livery of Yellow and Black and it also included the familiar waves and tower Blackpool Transport logo on the cab door.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=36864\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-36864\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-36864\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.602-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.602-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.602-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.602-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.602-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On 27<sup>th<\/sup> September 2020 and the tram is now running back under its original number of <strong>227<\/strong> and has also enjoyed a repaint into an equally fictious livery of Red and off white as well as receiving the name Charlie Cairoli along with images of the clown in the trolley tower.
