{"id":36681,"date":"2020-12-06T14:00:40","date_gmt":"2020-12-06T14:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36681"},"modified":"2020-12-06T08:52:19","modified_gmt":"2020-12-06T08:52:19","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-illuminated-trawler","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36681","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Illuminated Trawler"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Its another trip to Blackpool for this instalment of \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d and we again see a tram which has changed during that period.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over the past 15 years the Blackpool Tramway have had three operational illuminated cars with the smallest capacity of these being the <strong>Illuminated Trawler<\/strong> \u2013 it is also the one which has changed the most during this period having gone through the works to receive new LED lighting replacing its original bulbs. In the first image we see the tram when numbered <strong>633<\/strong> standing on the centre track at North Pier waiting for the off with a tour which will head north to Little Bispham and then back to Pleasure Beach before terminating again at North Pier. The lights are ablaze but there is still that small bit of light in the sky. This was 7<sup>th<\/sup> September 2005.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=36682\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-36682\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-36682\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.633-gp-550x365.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"365\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.633-gp-550x365.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.633-gp-1024x680.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.633-gp-768x510.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/1.633-gp.jpg 1290w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>15 years later on 26<sup>th<\/sup> September 2020 and a photo was doesn\u2019t show the now renumbered <strong>737<\/strong> at its best! Whilst it has now been fitted with LEDs, on this night they failed on its departure from depot and so it was out on the Prom with just a few external illuminations alight.
