{"id":36025,"date":"2020-10-23T18:00:29","date_gmt":"2020-10-23T17:00:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36025"},"modified":"2020-10-16T20:27:44","modified_gmt":"2020-10-16T19:27:44","slug":"picture-in-time-leeds-165","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=36025","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Leeds 165"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the next few editions of the traditional tram \u201cPicture in Time\u201d we take a trip to Leeds for some fascinating images taken as the days of the tramway were coming to an end in November 1959.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In this first photo we see Horsfield car <strong>165<\/strong> running up Kirkgate working a route 18 service to Crossgate on 1<sup>st<\/sup> November 1959. The Leeds system only had a further six days of operation after this photo was taken with the last services running on 7<sup>th<\/sup> November 1959 but despite that \u2013 or maybe because of \u2013 this tram has a healthy load of passengers on board.
