These have now been satisfactorily completed and Scotland\u2019s only heritage tramway will be running again from Wednesday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> September.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Museum is open for restricted hours (Wednesday to Sunday 1000-1200 and 1300-1500) and any visitors must pre-book in either one of the timeslots. Once the two hour slot is over all visitors must leave as the site is prepared for the next slot. There is strictly limited capacity on site and the mine remains closed although most of the inside exhibition areas have reopened. Masks are mandatory in interior areas and any payments in the shop or caf\u00e9 should be cashless. Pre-booking should be made online at <a href=\"https:\/\/summerlee-museum-of-scottish-industrial-life.arttickets.org.uk\/\">https:\/\/summerlee-museum-of-scottish-industrial-life.arttickets.org.uk\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The short tramway will start running again from Thursday 23<sup>rd<\/sup> September and there will again be strict social distancing measures in place with the wearing of face coverings on board required. All visitors will also be required to alight at each end to allow the driver to clean the tram for its next trip. Tram tickets can be purchased on the day at the museum on a first come, first served basis.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s not all the good news in regards to the trams at Summerlee! 19<sup>th<\/sup> and 20<sup>th<\/sup> September should have been the annual Doors Open Days across Scotland but for obvious reasons wasn\u2019t able to take place in its usual format in 2020. But not deterred by this the Summerlee Transport Group have made a video of the tram depot and the trams at the museum.
