{"id":35626,"date":"2020-09-18T18:00:08","date_gmt":"2020-09-18T17:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=35626"},"modified":"2020-09-17T20:16:33","modified_gmt":"2020-09-17T19:16:33","slug":"picture-in-time-east-anglia-transport-museum-tracklaying","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=35626","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: East Anglia Transport Museum tracklaying"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We continue our look at some archive images from the East Anglia Transport Museum today as we go back to the very early days of the museum with preparations underway for the arrival of another tram.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The below photo was taken in 1964 and shows sett laying in progress in preparation for the arrival of <strong>London Transport 1858<\/strong> \u2013 which had been on display at Chessington Zoo for a number of years. This track would just be needed to store <strong>1858<\/strong> and as such did not need to be lengthy with the work well in advance in this shot.
