Built with a single platform for all arrivals and departures this stop is due to be demolished to make way for the extension to Newhaven with a new stop built just around the corner in Picardy Place to cater for those passengers who have got used to starting their journeys here. The signal remains against the tram but will soon change allowing it to use the crossover to gain the outbound track \u2013 it would depart with no passengers on board.
