{"id":34254,"date":"2020-06-15T18:00:45","date_gmt":"2020-06-15T17:00:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=34254"},"modified":"2020-06-15T16:15:52","modified_gmt":"2020-06-15T15:15:52","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-replica-vanguard-619","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=34254","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool Replica Vanguard 619"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After last week\u2019s archive Blackpool tram image featured a tram now at Heaton Park we have another tram which also resides there today \u2013 <strong>Replica Vanguard 619<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>619<\/strong> was converted from <strong>OMO car 7<\/strong> (which in turn was once <strong>English Electric Railcoach 282<\/strong>), entering service as a pseudo vintage tram in September 1987. The tram remained in service until the end of 2009 \u2013 although did spend four years off the road from 2004 before it was acquired by the Manchester Transport Museum Society for operation at the Heaton Park Tramway. Now in a red livery \u2013 and renumbered <strong>7<\/strong> for a short-time \u2013 <strong>619<\/strong> is a popular tram in Manchester currently receiving workshop attention.<\/p>\n<p>This image shows <strong>619<\/strong> on 4th October 1997 with a service running to Pleasure Beach.
