{"id":32577,"date":"2020-02-16T17:00:18","date_gmt":"2020-02-16T17:00:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=32577"},"modified":"2020-02-16T08:50:26","modified_gmt":"2020-02-16T08:50:26","slug":"picture-in-time-croydon-tramlink-2542-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=32577","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Croydon Tramlink 2542"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For the next few weeks Sundays will all be about archive images from our \u201cmodern\u201d tramway systems and we start off in Croydon for a pre-opening image of one of the trams.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->This photo was taken on 26th November 1999 and shows CR4000 <strong>2542<\/strong> heading westbound from East Croydon having just departed from the central platform on 26th November 1999. <strong>2542<\/strong> had been delivered to Therapia Lane Depot seven months earlier on 22nd February and when arriving was in the then standard fleet livery of Red and White.
