{"id":32252,"date":"2020-04-19T12:00:06","date_gmt":"2020-04-19T11:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=32252"},"modified":"2020-04-19T08:51:20","modified_gmt":"2020-04-19T07:51:20","slug":"in-pictures-bradford-104-at-bradford-industrial-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=32252","title":{"rendered":"In Pictures: Bradford 104 at Bradford Industrial Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the latest instalment of trams on display which rarely feature on these pages we head to West Yorkshire and the Bradford Industrial Museum where surviving Bradford Corporation Tramways tramcar no. <strong>104<\/strong> can be found on display.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Bradford was the last 4 foot gauge tramway in the UK to operate with the final route closing on 6th May 1950 and its official last tram was no. <strong>104<\/strong> which is now the only fully restored Bradford passenger car in existence. The tram had in fact been the official last tram in the West Yorkshire city before it was sold on for further use to Bradford Northern\u2019s Odsal ground. This use didn\u2019t last long as by 1953 it was back at Thornbury Works and was preserved and restored. It was even used for short passenger runs on remaining tracks at the works with the trolleybus overhead used up until the early 1960s.
