{"id":317,"date":"2012-03-22T19:34:08","date_gmt":"2012-03-22T19:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=317"},"modified":"2012-03-22T19:34:08","modified_gmt":"2012-03-22T19:34:08","slug":"consultation-launched-for-wythenshawe-transport-interchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=317","title":{"rendered":"Consultation launched for Wythenshawe Transport Interchange"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest public consultation related to Manchester Metrolink has been launched, this one being for a new transport interchange in Wythenshawe which will be part of the Airport extension of Metrolink \u2013 due to open in summer 2016.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>It is planned that the current bus station in the town will be relocated to a new site off Poundswick Lane next to Wythenshawe Forum where it will be linked with a Metrolink stop. It will offer a range of improved services including modern, covered waiting areas, better passenger facilities, improved information and ticketing facilities and a safer and more secure waiting environment.<\/p>\n<p>The consultation runs until 26<sup>th<\/sup> March and any comments received will be fed into the development of the proposals and designs.
