{"id":31477,"date":"2019-12-10T10:00:23","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T10:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=31477"},"modified":"2019-12-08T11:09:03","modified_gmt":"2019-12-08T11:09:03","slug":"15-years-apart-blackpool-brush-634","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=31477","title":{"rendered":"15 Years Apart: Blackpool Brush 634"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s the turn of Blackpool again in this instalment of \u201c15 Years Apart\u201d with <strong>Brush Car 634<\/strong> the focus of our attention.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Taken on 18th September 2004 this first view shows <strong>634<\/strong> approaching North Pier from the north with a service running to Pleasure Beach. At this time the tram was carrying this pretty effective but still simple all over advert for the Cala Gran Holiday Park. This ad was carried by <strong>634<\/strong> from 2001 and would remain on the tram whilst it was stored at Rigby Road following its withdrawal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?attachment_id=31478\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-31478\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-31478\" title=\"1.634-gp\" src=\"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/1.634-gp-550x379.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"550\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/1.634-gp-550x379.jpg 550w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/1.634-gp-1024x706.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/1.634-gp.jpg 1141w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 550px) 100vw, 550px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>634<\/strong> was privately preserved and departed Blackpool for a new life in Rushden where work on restoring the tram was undertaken which included a repaint into green and cream in 2010, losing its 2004 advert in the process. Since then the tram had become part of the heritage fleet in Blackpool once more but is not yet operational.
