As well as the usual \u2013 and increasingly popular \u2013 Starlight Event for the final week of the season, the museum will also be taking part in The Big Draw Festival.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->The Big Draw Festival is an international event and visitors to Crich on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October will be able to get involved in drawing. The theme will be \u201cViews from the Magic Tram\u201d so if you\u2019ve got an artistic gene you want to let out you know where to be on 12th and 13th October! And if that\u2019s not enough reason to go then the David Gould tram models will be running in the Great Exhibition Hall on Sunday 13th.<\/p>\n<p>The Starlight Event will be taking place between Monday 28th October and Saturday 2nd November with a packed programme of events each day with the museum lit up including an enchanted forest walk. And any children attending on Monday 28th will be able to enter a draw to win the opportunity to officially switch on the illuminations!<\/p>\n<p>The museum will then open for the last time in 2019 on Sunday 3rd November and any National Lottery players (anyone who has purchased a lottery ticket between 28th October and 2nd November \u2013 including scratch cards) will be able to get in for free.<\/p>\n<p>After that the museum will enter its winter hiatus but don\u2019t despair it will reopen on Saturday 14th March 2020 and we are promised plenty more exciting events in 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s hard to believe but we are in the final month of the 2019 season at Crich (just where does the time go!) with the final events of the year being prepared for.
