{"id":29800,"date":"2019-09-05T18:00:15","date_gmt":"2019-09-05T17:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=29800"},"modified":"2019-09-05T17:47:53","modified_gmt":"2019-09-05T16:47:53","slug":"picture-in-time-blackpool-marton-vambac-11-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.britishtramsonline.co.uk\/news\/?p=29800","title":{"rendered":"Picture in Time: Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hopefully you haven\u2019t had too much of looking at <strong>Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11<\/strong> over the past couple of weeks as the final part of our trilogy is featured today as we take another look at the tram whilst in operation at the East Anglia Transport Museum.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Both of these images of <strong>11<\/strong> were taken during a seven year period between 1975 and 1982 (the exact year or date isn\u2019t known) and show the tram stationary showing the simple half green and half cream livery it was carrying at this time. <strong>11<\/strong> has now been at Carlton Colville for 50 years having first arrived at the early museum site in 1969 \u2013 this is far longer than it was every operational in Blackpool, even taking into account its different lives when on the Fylde Coast. Currently it is part of the operating fleet at the East Anglia Transport Museum, the only member of its class to survive and also currently the only VAMBAC fitted tram to run in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>In this first view we see <strong>11<\/strong> at the original single track Chapel Road terminus.
