Unfortunately the planned open day at the Southampton Tram Project\u2019s workshop in Southampton Docks has had to be cancelled. Due to take place on Saturday 14th September as part of a wider Heritage Fayre at West Quay the tram workshop will now not be included in the day\u2019s event.<\/p>\n
A statement from the Southampton Tram Project has been released: \u201cThe Tram Project is a member of the Southampton Heritage Federation which is holding a Heritage Fayre at West Quay on September 14th as part of the National Heritage Open Days. The heritage buses were planned to link this with the workshop and SS Shieldhall, but at a late stage we learned that the ship will not be located in the Eastern Docks.
